Your memories should feel like yours.
One Today is designed around on-device journal storage. Your personal entries are not sent to an app server as part of the core journaling flow, and privacy controls stay visible in settings.
Privacy summary
- Entries are stored on your device.
- Daily reminders are optional.
- PIN lock can protect app access.
- Backups are controlled by you.
Local journal storage
The app stores your daily entries locally on your phone. Clearing app data or uninstalling the app can remove those entries, so backups matter if you want long-term preservation.
App lock
A four-digit PIN can be enabled in settings, with a lock-on-resume option for users who want the app to close the door after switching away.
Backup export
One Today can export journal data as backup JSON, copy it to the clipboard, or prepare a backup file so you can store it where you choose.
Google Drive tools
Drive backup and restore flows are user-initiated. They exist for safekeeping, not as a requirement for writing daily entries.
Plain-language terms
Data loss
If you clear app data or uninstall without a backup, local entries can be permanently removed.
Notifications
Reminders are optional and can be changed in the app or through device settings.
Your responsibility
Create backups when you want a copy outside the device. One Today cannot recover data that was never backed up.
