One Today is designed so your journal stays on your phone. There’s no account, no cloud sync you didn’t ask for, and a PIN lock if you want one.

Exported only to your own Google Drive, only when you tap it.
What the app stores
One Today stores the text of your moments, the photos you attach, whether a moment is a favourite, and your settings (reminder time, theme, app lock). This information is kept in the app’s storage on your phone.
Backups
Backups are always started by you from Settings. Export to Google Drive saves a backup file to your own Drive account, and Import from Google Drive restores it. You can also copy your backup data as text and paste it back with Restore backup data.
Reminders
Daily reminders are scheduled on your phone. The app also uses Firebase Cloud Messaging so it can receive occasional notifications. You can turn notifications off in the app or in your phone’s settings at any time.
Ads
One Today is free and shows ads from Google AdMob. Ad providers may use device identifiers to show and measure ads, as described in Google’s own privacy policy. Your journal entries are not part of this.
If you uninstall
Uninstalling the app or clearing its data deletes the journal stored on your phone. Because nothing is kept on our servers, we cannot recover it. Export a backup to Google Drive first if you want to keep your moments.
Terms
By using One Today you agree that the app is provided as-is, and that you are responsible for creating backups if you want a copy of your journal outside your phone.
